Lucretia Mae Duckett, 77, of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009 at Cedargate Care Center in Poplar Bluff.
Mrs. Duckett was born Jan. 16, 1932 in Hendrickson. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Duckett enjoyed singing in the senior choir at church, sewing and canning.
On Sept. 23, 1950 she married the Rev. Rowland Leroy Duckett in Williamsville. He preceded her in death on July 1, 2001.
Survivors include five sons: Rowland L. Duckett Jr. and wife Pam of Jackson, Tenn., Kenny Duckett and wife Deanna, Jack Duckett and wife Pam and Jim Duckett and wife Janet all of Poplar Bluff and Clark Duckett of Malden; 11 grandchildren: Justin Duckett and wife Melissa, Jared Duckett and wife Cassie, Jeremy Duckett, Jonas Duckett, Michael Cato, Victoria Cato, John Oldham, Jason Duckett, Shawn Eric Duckett, Lauren Duckett and Catherine Duckett; and a brother, James Tomlin and wife Evelyn of Williamsville.
Mrs. Duckett was also preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Blanche (Rose) Tomlin and brother, Thomas Tomlin.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Friday in the Chapel with Dr. William Vail officiating. Burial will be at the Black River Cemetery, off JJ Hwy near Williamsville.
