Lura Honeys Gray

Lura F. ""Honeys"" Gray, 73, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Mark Twain Caring Center. Mrs. Gray was born June 7, 1938 in Poplar Bluff and had retired from AT&T as a secretary. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was an Awana Leader. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and also enjoyed aerobics with her friends.

On August 29, 1959 she married James Lawrence Gray. He preceded her in death on Dec. 15, 2006.

Survivors include 2 children, Jim Gray and wife Cindy of Ellsinore and Connie Bottorff and husband Jerry of Poplar Bluff; 5 grandchildren, Jamie Morse and husband Josh, Jessica Gray, Lance Gray, Victoria Bottorff and Elizabeth Bottorff; 2 brothers, Jack Patterson and wife Kitty of Memphis, Tenn., and Aubrey Patterson and wife Mary Sue of Santa Maria, Calif.; a sister-in-law Dorothy Patterson of Aurora, Col. and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, Okey and Nelle (Redferring) Patterson, and brother Robert Patterson preceded Mrs. Gray in death.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. ? 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2012 at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday at the funeral home chapel with Dr. William Vail officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
