Lyle "Mike" Eugene Larrew

Lyle E. “Mike” Larrew, 91, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Westwood Hills Healthcare.

Mr. Larrew, the son of the late Joseph Wesley and Ethel Mae Faulkner Larrew, was born Oct. 17, 1925 in Hartsell, Co. A World War II veteran, Mr. Larrew proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Larrew had worked as a salesman for Harts Bread company, a bus driver for RSVP, and a delivery driver for Northside Nutrition Center. He enjoyed visiting with those to whom he delivered meals, spending time with his family and friends, and attending local gospel music concerts.

On Feb. 8, 1975, he married Connie Roseberry in Fredericktown. She preceded him in death on May 12, 2016.

Survivors include two children: Linda Metcalf of St. Louis and Twyla Larrew of O’Fallon; a granddaughter who they raised, Ashley (Cole) Allen of Auburn, Ala.; four additional grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald W. Larrew of St. Louis and Joseph W. Larrew of Phoenix AZ.

A sister, Ferne Lee and three brothers, Alfred Larrew, John L. Larrew and Clyde Wesley Larrew, also preceded Mr. Larrew in death.

The visitation will begin at 12 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with the funeral service following at 1 p.m. Dr. Steve Proctor will officiate. Burial with full military honors will take place at 3 p.m. at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
