Pauline Hampton, a cornerstone of faith and family, passed away on April 6, 2026, at the age of 97. A woman of deep conviction and gentle spirit, Pauline lived a life defined by her devotion to Christ and her unwavering love for her community and kin.
Born on May 10, 1928, Pauline’s journey was one of steadfast commitment. On July 3, 1948, she married Herbert Hampton, beginning a union that spanned decades until his passing. Together, they built a family founded on the values of grace and service.
A resident of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Pauline was a dedicated member of Westwood Baptist Church. Her faith was the guiding light of her life; she was a devout follower of Christ who spent hours each day immersed in the study of the Bible, finding peace and purpose in the Word.
Her heart for children extended beyond her own home. From 1983 to 1999, Pauline owned and operated a local daycare, where she helped shape the lives of countless children with the same patience and kindness she showed her own grandchildren.
Pauline was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herbert Hampton, and her son, Phillip Hampton.
She is survived by her son, David Hampton; her grandchildren, Tiffany Dorris, Courtney Hampton, Christy Wilcoxson (husband Eric), and Angi Hampton.
Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Blake Dorris, Shaylin, Harper, Shelby Keasler (husband Cameron), Riley Sater, Reagan Williams and Colin Williams; and her two great-great-granddaughters, Paisley and Piper Keasler.
Pauline will be remembered for her quiet strength, her diligent hands, and a faith that never wavered. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at rest with her Lord and reunited with those she loved who went before her.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:30 on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Westwood Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, MO with funeral services following at 6:30. Burial will take place at noon on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Poplar Bluff, MO with Pastor Dave Young officiating.
Services are entrusted to those who loved her. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making and donation to Westwood Baptist Church’s Mission Fund.
