Mack Carroll Jackson, 66, of Wappapello, Mo. passed away on Feb. 10, 2013 at Davao City, in the Philippines.
Mr. Jackson was born on Oct. 8, 1946 in Newton Grove, N.C. to Winston and Gladys Hayes Jackson. His parents preceded him in death.
On Dec. 25, 1991 he married Pamela Holland. She preceded him in death on Feb. 19, 1992.
Mr. Jackson served with the Army in the Vietnam War, and was a disabled veteran. He had an Associates degree in Science, and was near completing his Bachelor's degree. He was of the Christian faith, and was a 32nd Degree Mason of the Zalma Lodge, an Eagle Scout and former Scout Master. Mr. Jackson loved being a grandpa, and spending time with his family, and fishing.
Survivors include his children; Jeremiah Jackson (Tiffany), of Poplar Bluff, Merle Jones of Richland, Wash., Eugene Christman (Jamie) of Oshkosh, Wis. Brandon Bigalow of Ozark, Mo. and grandchildren; Iysis, Riley, Harley, Buzz and Cash.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, at Cotrell Funeral Chapel at Wappapello. The funeral service with Masonic Rites immediately following, will be at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Jim Schremp officiating.
Friends and family will gather at the Wappapello VFW at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 7. The procession will begin at 1:30 p.m. led by The Patriot Riders to the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo for services with full military honors at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Jim Shremp will officiate.
