Maggie M. Stucker

Maggie Mae Stucker, 89, of Poplar Bluff died Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Maggie was born Dec. 12, 1921 in Knob Lick, Mo. She was of the Methodist faith, and was a homemaker. Maggie was a life member of the Poplar Bluff Amvets Ladies Auxiliary #29, and was a volunteer at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center for 40 years. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and volunteering.

On Jan. 20, 1940, she married Clarence Robert Stucker in Butler County, Mo. He preceded her in death on June 4, 1998.

Survivors include 4 children, June Dye, Lawrence Stucker and wife Eva and Carol Stucker all of Poplar Bluff and Danny Stucker and wife Barbara of Jackson, Mo.; 7 grandchildren. Dr. Dean Dye and wife Martha, Robbie Stucker and wife Paula, Sean Stucker and wife Laura, Derek Dye and fiance Misty Lee and Elayna Stucker all of Poplar Bluff and Melissa Welker and husband Mike and Christy Ameluke and husband Ronnie all of Jackson, Mo.; 13 great-grandchildren, Amanda Brown and husband Adam, Meagan Stucker, Seanny Stucker, Drew Dye, Rusty Phelan, Mallory Dye, Maci Stucker and Logan Stucker all of Poplar Bluff, and Miranda Mudge, Stephen Fuller, Cody Fuller, Nicholas Fuller and Dylan Welker all of Jackson, Mo.

Her parents, Thomas A. and Martha (nee, Wampler) Vandergriff, 10 sisters and one brother also preceded Mrs. Stucker in death.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Jim Hoyt officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
