Marcella M. Anthony

Marcella M. Anthony, 72, of Poplar Bluff died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at her residence.
Ms. Anthony was born Sept. 24, 1936 in Newport, Ark. She was a member of Central Missionary Baptist Church, and had retired from K-Mart after over 30 years of service as a sales associate. Ms. Anthony was a member of NAACP and AARP. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking.
Survivors include her daughter, Leola Anthony of Kansas City; and grandson, Louis Anthony Dancer of Kansas City.
Ms. Anthony's parents, Louis Henry and Leola (Boyd) Anthony and daughter, Glenda Jenell Anthony preceded her in death.
Visitation will begin at 12 noon Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the Chapel with Pastor Gary McCain officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
