Marcella I. Hudson

Marcella Hudson, 71, of Doniphan died Friday, Feb. 26, 2010 at her residence.

Mrs. Hudson was born Sept 6, 1938 in Kennett. She was of the Baptist faith, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Hudson enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting and making crafts.

On Feb. 20, 1973 she married Gerald Hudson in Ill. He survives.

Other survivors include four children: Paul Wayne Richardson and wife Kim of Fairdealing, Tammy Smith and husband Oscar of Doniphan, Betty Parrott and husband Mike of Caruthersville, and Denise Short and husband DeWayne of Independence, La.; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia (Craft) Johnson and husband Tommy of Mamouth Springs, Ark. and Laura Lampkin and husband Oscar of Marthasville; and a host of other family members and friends.

Her parents, John Wesley and Agnes (Oldham) Young and brother, J. W. Young preceded Mrs. Hudson in death.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Monday in the Chapel with Mr. Ryan Walker officiating. Burial will be at Qulin Cemetery in Qulin.
