Margie Rae (Baker) Huff Wells

Margie Rae (Baker)Huff Wells, 99, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri passed away on May 19, 2025, at her granddaughter's home in Saint James, Missouri.

Margie was born on March 25, 1926, to John and Mary Emma (Patterson) Baker in Atkins, Arkansas. She married Orville Huff May 22, 1946, and he passed September 17, 1977. She later married Francis Wells on August 28, 1981; he passed on April 13, 2007.

Margie enjoyed her time at Hefner's furniture but made her career as a clerk at the U.S. Post office. She also enjoyed reading, playing dominoes, and spending time with her family and friends. Margie will be missed by those who knew her.

Margie is survived by her daughters, Judy Woodham and Martha Perren; grandchildren, Ginger, Travis, Audrey, Sheila, and Michelle, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Emma; husbands, Orville Huff and Francis Wells; sons, Thomas and Randal; and siblings, James Ruben Baker and Francis Loyd.

Visitation will be held on Friday May 30, 2025, from 4:30pm-5:30pm at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services in Poplar Bluff, MO. Funeral Services will immediately follow beginning at 5:30pm with Pastor Vernon Curry officiating. Burial will be at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley, MO.
