Margreet Geneva Francis

Margreet Geneva Francis, 88, of Poplar Bluff died Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Francis was born Oct. 7, 1922 in Broseley, Mo. She was of the Baptist faith, and had retired from Florsheim Shoe Co. Mrs. Francis enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting and canning.
On Sept. 29, 1939, she married Ben C. Francis in Broseley, Mo. He preceded her in death on April 8, 1973.
Survivors include 9 children, Bonnie (Vernon) Alford of Oakland, Ky., Claria Faye Wallen, Helen (Roy) Dugas and Barbara Sparkman all of Poplar Bluff, and James Leon Francis, Tony Lee (Betty) Francis, Burley (Rosalie) Francis, Martha (Wallace) Arthur and Peggy Francis all of Houston, Tex.; 24 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Her parents, Tom and Peyton Clement Talley, sons, Chester Eugene ""Bud"" Francis and Donald Ray Francis, sister, Alma Payne and brothers, Coy Talley Charley Talley and Burley Talley also preceded Mrs. Francis in death.
Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral chapel with Rev. Eldon Wheelis officiating. Burial will be at Kerns Chapel Cemetery in the Stringtown community of Butler County.
