Marguerite K. (Head) Thornburgh

Marguerite K. Thornburgh, 75, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, June 11, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Thornburgh was born Feb. 1, 1937 in Detroit, Mich. She was a member of First General Baptist Church, and had retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. Mrs. Thornburgh also taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, music, traveling and making crafts.

On July 13, 1958, she married Crandall Thornburgh in Poplar Bluff. He survives.

Other survivors include three children, Kathryn L. Henry of Winona, Mo., Douglas Thornburgh of Potosi, Mo. and Steven Thornburgh of Clarksville, Tenn.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Shari McCarty of Perris, Calif. and Dorothy Abney of Poplar Bluff.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First General Baptist Church, 1801 North Main St. in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at12 noon Wednesday in the Church Chapel with Dr. Dick Murray officiating. Burial will be at Patterson Cemetery in Patterson, Mo.
