Marie Long, 79, of Poplar Bluff died Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Long was born July 20, 1930 in Braggadocio. During her lifetime she was actively involved in church and most recently was attending Memorial Baptist Church. Mrs. Long enjoyed being a homemaker, spending time with her family, traveling, quilting and doing crewel handwork.
On March 18, 1946 she was married to Otha Lee Holdman. He preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 1974. Her later husbands, Ernie Stoll and Noel L. Long also preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Janice Holdman of Chattanooga, Tenn., Patricia Essex, Sharon Williams and Carl Holdman all of Soddy-Daisy, Tenn. and Jeanette ""Nettie"" Hester of Poplar Bluff; six step-children; ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild; sister, Dena Mabrey of Springfield; and brothers, Bob Ledbetter of Silverton, Oreg. and Ed Ledbetter of Checotah, Okla.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 12 noon Friday at Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Lucille Hausser, Rev. Don Mayo and Rev. Dennis Ward officiating. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. Friday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
