Marilyn Brewster (Miller) Rexroat

Marilyn Brewster Rexroat, 86, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away, Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015 at her residence.

Mrs. Rexroat was born May 8, 1928 in Claflin, Kans., to the late William E. Sr. and Ella M. Hutton Miller. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, and a member of the Wesleyan Sunday School Class. She was a homemaker; and during her earlier years she assisted her husband at the Hillcrest Animal Clinic. Mrs. Rexroat was a member of the Red Hat Society and a former member of the Green Thumb Garden Club.

On Aug. 29, 1948, she married Jordon J. Rexroat in Manhattan Kans. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2006.

Survivors include two children: David Rexroat (Barbara) and Dena Read, all of Poplar Bluff; three grandchildren: Todd A. Rexroat, of Cordova, Tenn., Joan M. Lack (Michael), of Poplar Bluff and Emily Andra (Gideon), of Springfield, Mo.; four great-grandchildren: Alexis, Audrey, Clara and Anna; and a brother, William E. Miller, Jr. (Sidney) of Overland Park, Kans.

A brother, Edward Miller also preceded Mrs. Rexroat in death.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral chapel with Rev. David Stewart officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
