Marion E. Goff

Marion E. ""Mutt"" Goff, 77, of Greenville, Mo. died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Mr. Goff was born Oct. 2, 1933 in Taskee, Mo. He was a member of Westwood Baptist Church, and had retired as a foreman for Greer Construction Company. Mr. Goff was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He served during the Korean Conflict, and was awarded a National Defense Service Medal Army; Army of Occupation Medal (Germany); and Good Conduct Medal. Mr. Goff enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, gardening and repairing things.

On Dec. 21, 1954, he married Naomi Marie Keele in Poplar Bluff. She
survives.

Other survivors include four children, Charlotte West and husband, Michael and Lena Gann and husband, Donald all of Poplar Bluff, Leona Crowley of DeSoto, Mo. and Joyce Sample of Owensville, Mo.; 10 grandchildren: Joshua West, Olivia West, Daniel White, Matthew Crowley, Mark Crowley, Luke Crowley, Amanda Crowley, Jason Nelson, Kyle Sample and Kristen Sample; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mary Gilbreath and husband Walter of Latham, Mo. and Helen Warren of Greenville, Mo.; and a brother, James Goff and wife, Norma Jean of Poplar Bluff.

His parents, Otha Marion and Flora Edith (Null) Goff preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel with Dr. Steve Proctor officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery in Wayne County.
