Martha M. Beck, 83, of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011 at The Manor in Poplar Bluff.
Mrs. Beck was born Aug. 11, 1928 in St. Louis, Mo. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, and was a retired waitress. Mrs. Beck enjoyed teaching others about the Bible, dancing, fishing and traveling.
On June 14, 1947, she was married to William A. York. Mr. York preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 1972. On May 6, 1977, she was married to Nowlin Elmo Beck. Mr. Beck preceded her in death on March 22, 1985.
Survivors include two stepdaughters, Karen Twitty of Dexter, Mo. and Jearlin Ethridge of Poplar Bluff; several step-grandchildren and several step- great-grandchildren.
Her parents, George and Minnie (Jones) Morgan, sisters, Mildred Joines, Blanche Raye and Gertrude Miller and brothers, Paul Morgan and Herbert Morgan also preceded Mrs. Beck in death.
A graveside service and burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff with Mr. Jearl Griffin officiating.
