Martha A. Edgin

Martha Agnes Edgin, 95, of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Edgin was born Jan. 28, 1913 in Lilly Dale, Tenn. She attended Cornerstone Tabernacle, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Edgin enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing and listening to gospel music.
On April 20, 1963 she married Andrew R. Edgin in Auburn Heights, Mich. He preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 2008.
Surviving are four children: J. C. Hardin and his wife Doris, of Ortonville, Mich., Betty Babb and Geraldine Riggins and her husband Bill, all of Poplar Bluff and Donald Ray Edgin and his wife Donna, of Monterey Park, Calif.; 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Lois Hardin, of Ortonville, Mich.
Her parents, Perry C. and Nancy (Hutchison) Vaughn, son, Richard Hardin and sisters, Hazel Waymon and Mary Hutchison preceded Mrs. Edgin in death.
Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009 at Old Oak Hill Church in Butler County. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Bryan Parkey officiating. Burial will be at the Old Oak Hill Cemetery.
