Martha June Franklin, 81, of St. James, Mo., passed away Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018 at St. James Care Center.
Mrs. Franklin, the daughter of the late Edward Rector and Concordia Hoehne Brown, was born June 29, 1936 in St. James. She was a homemaker and took pride in caring for her family. Mrs. Franklin was a member of St. James Lutheran Church.
She was married to Kenneth Franklin on June 29, 1957 in St. James. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1999.
Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca Ann “Becky” Tohtz and her husband Jay of St. Louis, Mo.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Thelma Louise Magmin of St. James, Barbara Joan Kiczenski of St. Louis and Betty Ruth Beezley and Mary Sue Langendoerfer both of St. James.
Mrs. Franklin was also preceded in death by her son, Edward Neal Franklin.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lone Hill Cemetery on Hwy F in Butler County with Rev. Tim Freeman officiating.
