Martha Iva Lou (Fuson) Sparkman

Martha Iva Lou Sparkman, 88, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Friday, May 1, 2020 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Sparkman, daughter of the late Alan and Mary Elizabeth Winder Fuson was born April 16, 1932, in Orange County, California.  She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church and was a homemaker.  Mrs. Sparkman enjoyed being with her family, sewing, singing in quartets and cooking.

She was married to Haskell Gene McNeely on Feb. 14, 1950.  He preceded her in death in 1983.  She later married Robert ‘Bob’ F. Sparkman.  He survives.

Other survivors include daughters, Janet L. Colburn of Poplar Bluff and Becky (Mike) Daniels of Montgomery, Ala.; sons, Jim Sparkman and Mike Sparkman both of Poplar Bluff; grandchildren, John Robert Colburn, Robyn Jean Colburn Bubulka, Megan Sparkman Valenzuela, Tyler (Kayla) Sparkman, Dalton Sparkman, Dyllon Sparkman, Destiny Sparkman, Brent (Cortney) Daniels and Clay (Hayley)Daniels; great-grandchildren, Luke, Will and Eli Colburn, Drew, Ryan and Emily Bubulka, Baylee, Jakob and Addie Valenzuela, Wren Sparkman, Carolyn Daniels and Lofton Daniels; two great-great-grandchildren, Urijah Sparkman and Levi Sparkman; and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Two daughters, Linda Sue Crowell and Cindy Lynn Sparkman, four brothers, Paul Fuson, Jake Fuson, Don Fuson and Charles Loury, and a sister Opal Hampton also preceded her in death.

A graveside service and burial will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sparkman Cemetery in  Butler County, with Dr. Steve Proctor officiating.
