Marvin L. Sheridan

Marvin L. Sheridan, 65, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Monday, October 27, 2014, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Sheridan was born December 6, 1948, in Doniphan, MO, to Albert and Thelma Cope Sheridan.
On August 14, 1976, he and Brenda McGowen were married at Little Brushy Baptist Church in Wappapello, where he was a member. He attended Trinity Baptist Church at Poplar Bluff, he loved spending time with his family and enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, and reading. He had served his country in the United States Navy and retired from John J. Pershing V.A. Medical Center, as a dietetic worker, in 1998. Later he worked for W.W. Woodworking and retired from there in 2012.
Survivors include his wife, and a son, Joshua Sheridan, of Grasonville, MD; three brothers: Homer ""Pete"" Sheridan (Savanah) of Poplar Bluff, Jerry Sheridan, of Fairdealing, MO, and Glenn Sheridan (Dimple), of Jonesboro, AR; three sisters: Helen Joe (Bob), of Springfield, MO, Vera Steel, of Harviell, MO, Barbara Ward, (Truman), of Poplar Bluff, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Robert Sheridan.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at the chapel with Rev. Vaughn Kirkman officiating. Interment will follow with military honors at Little Brushy Cemetery.
