Mary Dean Bryeans, 83, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Friday, Sept. 11, 2015 at Westwood Hills Healthcare Center in Poplar Bluff.
She was a member of Little Brown General Baptist Church and was a homemaker. For a number of years Mrs. Bryeans worked as a restaurant cook and waitress at the Chuck Wagon Restaurant, Davis Café and Miller Café. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her beloved dog, Sweet Pea, and watching her favorite TV shows, Wheel of Fortune and Walker, Texas Ranger.
On July 30, 1951, she married Claude Bryeans in Oran. He preceded her in death on March 21, 2007.
Survivors include two daughters, Claudean Bryeans and Patricia Jones (Gale) both of Poplar Bluff; four grandchildren: Joe Jones, Grace Crowley, Michael McNew and Clinton McNew; eight great-grandchildren: Mark Jones, Maggie Jones, Austin Dunivan, Abbie Lowe, Bradley McNew, Kyle McNew, Paige Crowley and Chloe Crowley; and four great-great-grandchildren;
A grandson, Heath Bryeans; three great-grandchildren: James Dunn-Jones, Ayden Crowley and Dillon McNew; a sister, Ruby Faulconer; and five brothers, Jewell, Jack, Jerry, Dale and Gary Callow also preceded Mrs. Bryeans in death.
The visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with the funeral following at 11 a.m. The Rev. Jim Schremp will officiate. Burial will be in the Ash Hill Cemetery.
