Mary Jane Gullette, 86, died Tuesday, August 13, 2013 in Mt. Juliet, TN.
Mrs. Gullette was born July 16, 1927 in Doniphan, MO to Frank Edward and Emma Florence Hupe Jordan. She was a member of the Methodist Church. In 1945 she was the Doniphan High School Homecoming Queen. Mrs. Gullette attended William Woods University in Fulton, MO before moving to Poplar Bluff, MO in 1946 when she married Robert E. Gullette. In her later years she worked at Montgomery Wards and Jim Hogg Supermarket. Mrs. Gullette loved being with her family, was an avid bowler, and enjoyed raising a garden and crocheting. In 2005 she moved to Mt. Juliet, TN and remained there until her death. Mrs. Gullette made friends everywhere she went and was loved by all.
Mrs. Gullette is survived by three sons: Jack (Debra) Gullette of Houston, TX, Mark (Susan) Gullette of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Randy Gullette of Poplar Bluff; a brother: David Jordan of Hermitage, TN; and two grandchildren: Chris Gullette of Cape Girardeau, MO and Brian Gullette of Waterford, MI.
Her husband, parents and a brother Frank Jordan preceded Mrs. Gullette in death.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery with Rev. J.C. Bryant officiating.
