Mary Virginia Harwell

Mary Virginia Harwell, 96, of Poplar Bluff died Sunday, March 7, 2010 at her residence.

Mrs. Harwell was born April 8, 1913 in St. Louis. She was a member of Heritage Free Will Baptist Church, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Harwell enjoyed visiting with her neighbors, having a flower garden, taking pictures and writing poetry.

On March 15, 1930 she married Columbus V. Harwell. He preceded her in death on June 8, 1982.

Survivors 2 children, Robert K. Harwell and Donna Harwell Kiefer both of Poplar Bluff; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; and special best friend, Virginia Jaco of Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Harwell was preceded in death by her parents, George Harvey and Cecil Jane (Toutant) Burton, son, Harold Eugene Harwell and great-granddaughter, Courtney Iden.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel with the Rev. Don Richmann officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
