Mary Jane Mattingly

July 5, 1935 — February 19, 2020

Mary Jane Mattingly, 84, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at her residence.

Mrs. Mattingly, the daughter of the late Raymond W. and Helen Elsie (Collins) Frazier, was born July 5, 1935 in Poplar Bluff.  She was of the Church of Christ faith.   Mrs. Mattingly worked as a waitress for the Newberry Luncheonette.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, crafts, making quilts and cooking.

On July 7, 1953 she married Duard Elvis Mattingly in Poplar Bluff.   They celebrated 66 years of marriage.   He survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons David Allen (Connie) Mattingly of Piedmont, Mo. and Roger Elvis (Heather) Mattingly of Poplar Bluff, Mo., seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, sisters, Judy C. Hancock of Poplar Bluff and Patsy Raymer of O’Fallon, Mo.

Three brothers, Lester Frazier, Harvey Frazier and Bob Frazier; and six sisters Evelyn Blair, Georgia May Spradling, Peggy June McGowen, Betty Beck, Wanda Frazier and Wilma Godwin preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2020 at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff.  The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2020 in the Chapel with Vernon Curry officiating.   Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
