Mary Ann Trentelman, 79, of Poplar Bluff died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, in St. Louis.
Mrs. Trentelman was born Nov. 20, 1928, in Poplar Bluff. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and had previously worked as secretary at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center. She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed being with her family.
In 1947, she was married to Norman LeGrand. He preceded her in death on Dec. 16, 1964. On April 17, 1970, she was married to Henry H. Trentelman, in Poplar Bluff. He preceded her in death on July 27, 2007.
Survivors include four children, David LeGrand and wife Susan, of Houston, Tex., Steve LeGrand and wife Charlotte, of Poplar Bluff, Deborah Trumper and fiance Stephen Cochran, of St. Louis and Gary Trentelman and wife Neisha, of Fallon, Nev.; 13 grandchildren, Rodney LeGrand, Jennifer Ziegler, Lucas LeGrand, Dustin LeGrand, Chase LeGrand, Christie Knuckles, Amy Byrne, Max Trumper, Will Trumper, Valerie McGowen, Tabatha Harrison, Lance Shakley and Becky Shakley; 24 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Delores Rushin, of Chillicothe, Ill., and Loretta Boyd, of Lexington, Ky.; two brothers, Buddy Clark, of Springfield, Mo. and Bill Clark, of St. Charles, Mo.
Her parents, Paul and Myrtle (Roach) Clark, daughter, Marcia Shakley, grandson, Gary E. Trentelman and sister, Bea Brown also preceded her in death.
A Rosary Service will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with visitation following to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Michael McDevitt officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
