Mary Evelyn (Smith) Tuggle

Mary Evelyn Tuggle, 70, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Mrs. Tuggle was born Nov. 12, 1940 in Poplar Bluff. She had retired from Wal-Mart as a cashier. Mrs. Tuggle enjoyed spending time with her family, researching genealogy, dancing, quilting and gardening.

Survivors include two children, Randy Norman and wife Barb and Angie Tibbs and husband Jerry all of Poplar Bluff; four grandchildren, Justin Norman, Joshua Norman, Kelli Ibrahim and husband Yahaya and Misty Tibbs; four great-grandchildren, Keira, Joseph and Elijah Ibrahim and Leah Tibbs; two sisters, Elaine Farris and husband Jim of Pevely and Judy Lake of Poplar Bluff; and a brother, Jimmy Smith of Poplar Bluff.

Her parents, Art and Leona (Humphrey) Smith and brother, Billy Smith preceded Mrs. Tuggle in death.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel with Rev. Eldon Wheelis officiating. Burial will be at Kerns Chapel Cemetery in the Stringtown community of Butler County.
