Marylou Ring Vail

Marylou Vail, 92, of Poplar Bluff, MO, died Friday, July 12, 2013 at Cedargate Healthcare Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Vail was born September 2, 1920 in Paris, TX. She was a retired Sr. High English teacher. Mrs. Vail was a member of the First Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff.

On June 6, 1947, she married Austin Bryant Vail in Dallas, TX. He preceded her in death on January 27, 2009.

Mrs. Vail is survived by: a son, Dr. William Vail (Susan) of Poplar Bluff; two grandchildren, Robert Vail (Coy) of Tupelo, MS and Melissa Vail of Poplar Bluff; and two great grandchildren, Emma Katherine Vail and Robert Lawson Vail.

Her parents, William and Katherine (Taylor) Ring, also preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013 with a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff, with Dr. William Vail officiating. A private burial will take place at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.
