Mega Camden

Mega Bell Camden, 89, of Stone Mountain, Ga., died Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the Yellow Brick House Assisted Living Center in Lithonia, Ga. Mrs. Camden was born July 23, 1924 in Piedmont, Mo.

On May 30, 1943 she married Robert Jerry Camden, Sr. in St. Louis. He preceded her in death on July 15, 2011.

Mrs. Camden was a member of Avondale First Baptist and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include a son, Robert J. Camden, Jr. and wife Susan of Conyers, Ga; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and 2 sisters; Gerry Callahan of Bolivar, Mo, and Ellwayne Winters of Tulsa, Ok.

Preceding Mrs. Camden in death were her parents, Alex and Gladys (Ross) Reid ; and a daughter Diana Camden.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. A graveside service and burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff with Dr. William Vail officiating.
