Merle Marie Moore

Merle Marie Moore, age 93, of Poplar Bluff went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 25, 2017.
Merle was born February 12, 1924 in Rombauer, Missouri. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff and treasured her church family. She was strong in her love for God and enjoyed reading the Bible, doing puzzles, birdwatching and cooking.
She always had a contagious smile followed by her sweet laughter. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren unconditionally. She will be missed by her family and friends and we all have shed tears of joy in celebration of her going home.
Merle was united in marriage to the love of her life, Allen Vernon Moore, Sr. on April 5, 1941. He preceded her in death on August 11, 1994. She was also preceded in death by one son, Johnny Lee Moore, one sister, Esther Shepard, and two brothers, Clarence Stucker and Leslie Stucker.
Survivors include one daughter, Juanita Stucker of Poplar Bluff; two sons, Allen V. Moore, Jr (Donna) of Poplar Bluff and Claude Wayne Moore of Poplar Bluff; two brothers, Bill Hendrickson (Sue) of Hazelwood, Missouri and Norman Hendrickson (Clara) of Peoria, Illinois; 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Temple Baptist Church, 1310 Barron Road in Poplar Bluff with a Celebration of her life following at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Steve Patterson will officiate. Burial will be at New Oakhill Cemetery, 136 Hwy O, Williamsville, Missouri 63967.
