Michael G. Stracener

Michael Green Stracener, 64, of Broseley, Mo. died Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Mr. Stracener was born Dec. 2, 1948 in Bragg City, Mo. He was of the Pentecostal faith, and was disabled. Mr. Stracener enjoyed fishing, watching eagles and collecting eagle memorabilia.

On Aug. 10, 1969, he married Patricia Johnson in Kennett, Mo. She survives.

Other survivors include 7 children, Keith Stracener of Dexter, Mo., Carmellita Chapman of Crain, Mo., Loretta Carter of Kennett, Mo., Tonya Vass and Tina Baker both of Poplar Bluff, Jennifer Stracener of Kennett, Mo., and Tiffany Stracener of Dexter, Mo.; 23 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Georgia Armstrong, of Kennett, Mo.

His parents, Michael and Helen (Peacock) Stracener, a grandson and 2 sisters preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 12 noon to 12:45 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. A graveside service and burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Marble Hill Cemetery in Poplar Bluff with The Rev. Shelvie Stephens officiating.
