Mildred Ann (Cox) Clark

February 17, 1929 — March 29, 2014

Mildred A. Cox Clark, 85, of Poplar Bluff, MO, formerly of Bond County, IL, died Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Clark was born Feb. 17, 1929 in Schram City, IL to the late Russell and Druscilla Wright Cox. She was a homemaker and had previously owned and operated Millie's Ceramic's Shop. Mrs. Clark was a member of the Eastern Star as well as Missouri Star Quilters. She loved to spend time with her family, and enjoyed quilting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and making crafts.

Survivors include three children: Linda Bochenek, of Hickory Hills, IL, Brenda Layne, of Poplar Bluff, and Ruth Ann Elik (Brad), of Alton, IL; six grandchildren: Michael Bochenek (Barb), Scott Bochenek, Addie Layne, and Henry, John and Daniel Elik; three great-grandchildren: Jason, Ava and Brendan Bochenek; a sister, Diana Gibson, of Litchfield, IL; and a special friend, Arlan Dixon, of Poplar Bluff.

Three husbands, Earl Jones, Raymond Thompson and George Clark, a son, Bradley Thompson, and two sisters and a brother also preceded Mrs. Clark in death.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff, MO. A second visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Old Ripley Christian Church in Old Ripley, IL with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Brown Cemetery in Pocahontas, IL.
