Mildred Ruth Jones

Mildred Ruth Jones, 83, of Wappapello, Mo passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014, at the Manor in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Jones was born in St. Louis, Mo on August 9, 1930, to Thomas and Cecilia Pheiffer Keeton. They preceded her in death.

On October 30, 1948, she and Eugene Merle Jones were married in Wappapello, Mo. He died on July 23, 2005.

Mrs. Jones was a member of Wappapello United Methodist Church and retired as an LPN from Old Lucy Lee Hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, knitting and reading.

Survivors include her children Susan Potts (Al) of Wappapello, Merle Eugene Jones (Mary) of Watoma, WI; grandchildren, Jeff Potts, Cynthia Potts, Merle Jones Jr., Eugene Jones, Charlotte Jones; and great grandchildren, Triston, Caleb, Jace, Kierstyn, Harley, Jordan, Balthazer, and Cash.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Wappapello. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Catherine Bryant officiating. Interment will be at Wappapello Cemetery.
