Mildred James Ross

June 28, 1922 — May 5, 2018

Mildred "Mim" Ross, passed into Heaven on Saturday, May 5, 2018 in Poplar Bluff.

Mildred was born to Thomas and Geneva Radcliff Warden June 28, 1922 in Peach Orchard, Arkansas. Her father died when she was a small child, and she was raised by her amazing mother.

In 1939, Mildred married Gilbert "Gib" James. They first farmed in Arkansas, later moving to St. Louis. Mildred retired from Bussman Fuse Company. She and Gib moved to Wappapello where they enjoyed many years of happiness. Gib passed in 1993. They were married 54 years.

In 1996, she married Winfred "Wint" Ross, her soul mate, who died in 2006. They resided in Poplar Bluff where she lived until her death.

Mildred was a wonderful example and was loved by so many. Her friends and family are so appreciative of the loving care she received from all at Swiftcreek Residential Care.

Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with the funeral service following at 4 p.m. Burial will take place at Pirtle Cemetery in Peach Orchard, Arkansas at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Little Brushy Cemetery, 8348 Hwy T, Wappapello, MO 63966.
