Mildred Grace (Ott) Shafferkoetter

Mildred Grace Marie Shafferkoetter, 87, of Poplar Bluff passed away Monday, March 9, 2015 at Mo Delta Medical Center Sikeston, MO.

Mrs. Shafferkoetter was born April 6, 1927 in Overland, MO. to the late Louis Ott and Kathryn (Kern) Ott. She had worked as a nurse's aide and EMT for the MO Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, MO. Mrs. Shafferkoetter was a member of the Midland Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, and playing cards with friends.

On March 15, 1975, she married Kenneth C. Shafferkoetter in St. Clair, Mo. Mr. Shafferkoetter passed away March 8, 1999.

Survivors include a son, Dale H. Ray of Foley, AL; two grandchildren: Joshua Ray, of House Spring, MO, and Amy Ray, of Imperial, MO.; five great-grandchildren: Joey, Jasmine, Gracie, J.J., and Brody.

One son, Steven Paul Ray, two brothers and three sisters preceded Mrs. Shafferkoetter in death.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with the Graveside service following at 1:45 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
