Nellie Marie Williams, 93, of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Williams was born April 26, 1915 in Buckhannon, WV. She worked for over 50 years as a private residential housekeeper. Mrs. Williams enjoyed going to yard sales and auctions.
In 1930 she married Everett Franklin Green. He preceded her in death. On July 6, 1948 she married Albert C. Williams in Kansas City, Mo. He preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 1998.
Survivors include three children: Rose Lee Miller and husband Eddie, of Rombauer, Thelma Ward and husband Wesley and Don Green and wife Wilma, all of Poplar Bluff; eight grandchildren: Sharon Bowman and husband Kent of Greenville, Sondra Cassidy and husband Keith of Rombauer, Terry Adams, Lynn Ward and wife Billie of Lexington, Mo., Lee Ward and wife Patty of Poplar Bluff, Lisa Kauffmann and husband Kevin of Park Hills, Jimmy Green and wife Sally of Afton and Debbie Wright and husband Chance of Puxico; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nina Freeburg of Meridian, Idaho.
Mrs. Williams was also preceded in death by her parents, George and Mae (White) Lipps.
A graveside service and burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Spring Hill Cemetery in Ripley County with Pastor Marty Reed officiating.
