Nina Anita Ezell

August 22, 1942 — December 6, 2009

Nina Anita ""Cookie"" Ezell, 67, born Aug. 22, 1942 passed away at her home in Hunter on Dec. 6, 2009 from a long struggle with cancer.
""Cookie"" enjoyed going to bingo and fishing. She also loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all other family members. She also enjoyed watching cooking shows, as well as the shows Clean House and Cash in the Attic.
She is survived by two brothers, Darrell Williams and family of Atwater, Calif. and Steve Williams and family of Campbell; 2 sisters, Mona Fields and family of Poplar Bluff and Karen Coogan and family of Wright City; two sons, Jack Ezell of Cowden, Ill. and children, Melinda, Nathan, Elijah, Tasha, Jackson and John; Ronnie and Christina Ezell of Ellsinore and children, Ashley, Erica, Heather and Cassie; 3 daughters, Donna and Joe Carter of Hunter and children, Sheila, Crystal and Bobby; Tuttie and Donnie Roberts of Oglesville and children, Heather, Kellie, Cody and Heather; Traci and Randy Collins of Naylor and children, Rusty and Cody.
She leaves 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 14 nieces and nephews. There are also other children and grandchildren she considered her own.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Hendrickson, father, Edison Williams and a brother, Hercel Eugene Williams.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel with the Rev. James Gore officiating. Burial will be at New Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler County.
Her wishes were for her grandsons and great-grandsons to be pallbearers.
