Norma Faith (Cothren) Bettuo

Norma Faith Bettuo, 82, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away Sunday March 24, 2013 at Westwood Hills Health and Rehab Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Bettuo was born on August 25, 1930 in Francis, AR to John J. and Linelle Stowe Cothren.

She and George Bettuo were married in LaPorte, IN on June 13, 1953. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1991.

Mrs. Bettuo had retired as a nurse's aide at Doctors Hospital, after working 32 years. She attended Bethel Chapel Church and enjoyed spending time with her family, raising her grandchildren, babysitting and reading the Bible.

Survivors include her children: Lawrence William Cooper (Nancy) of Mt. View, MO, Larry T. Cooper (Linda) of Farmington, MO, George W. Bettuo Jr. (Ramona) of Poplar Bluff, MO; grandchildren: Michael Cooper, Debora Raburn, Stacey Germanos, Jason Cooper, Trace Bettuo, Mandy Burgin, great-grandchildren: Heather Tainter, Adam Tainter, Michael Siska, Celina Lunsford, Garret Cooper, Haley Bettuo, Ethan Bettuo, Michael Burgin, Jacob Burgin, Isaiah Burgin, Abby Burgin, great-great-grandchildren: Michael Siska, Bryson Tainter, a brother: Kenneth Cothren of Fairdealing, MO, and 5 sisters: Essie Harris of Holcomb, MO, Floy Weinert, of Dexter, MO, Goldie King, of Poplar Bluff, MO, Cleda Moore, of Herculaneum, MO, and Christine Binkley, of Mineral Point, MO.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers, Forrest Cothren and James Noel Cothren.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the chapel with Rev. Carlos Boyer officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn section of the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
