Norman Wayne Bostic, 75, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
He was born on August 12, 1943 to Leroy and Imogene (Pipkins) Bostic-Metz in Fisk, MO. He attended school in Fisk and Poplar Bluff. Norman worked as a paper carrier for The Journal and Daily American Republic. He loved his paper routes and customers. On June 18, 1966 he married Marsha Arbuckle in Poplar Bluff, MO. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
Norman was a loving, caring, and giving man. He enjoyed motorcycles, Cardinal Baseball, wrestling, building things, and being outside.
Norman is survived by his loving spouse of 52 years, Marsha Bostic of the home; five children, April Bostic, Steven (Patrice) Bostic, Diana Bostic, Tammy Shepherd-Bostic, and Crystal (Chris) Pigg all of Poplar Bluff; fifteen grandchildren, Chris Waddell, Austin Bostic, Corey McCorkell, Rachel McCorkell, Heather Bostic, Starlette Bostic-Green, Charity Bostic-Green, Anastasia Salsman, Destiny Pigg, Adrionna Bishop, Shadow Bishop, Justin Shepherd, Christian Shepherd, Devin Shepherd, and Chris Salsman; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Jack Bostic of Poplar Bluff, MO; one sister, Janie White of Poplar Bluff, MO; and very special friend and former boss, Don Schrieber.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters, Linda Hays, Cathy Bostic, Billy Bostic, Mary Pearson, and Wanda Weatherford, three brothers, James Metz, Roy “Junior” Bostic, and Roy “Gene” Bostic.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 12 – 2:00 p.m. at Moore Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff, MO.
Funeral services will be immediately following visitation on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Moore Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will take place in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Southside Assembly of God.
