Norman Lee Mckinney

Norman Lee McKinney, 74, of the Hamtown Community of Butler County passed away, Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Mr. McKinney was born March 20, 1939 in Poplar Bluff. He grew attending Hamtown Church and had retired as a superintendent for Huffman Engineering in Poplar Bluff. Mr. McKinney enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers, going to the sale barn, attending auctions and visiting with his friends.

Survivors include his children: Tonja Wolk (Joe) of Town and County, Mo., Sonja Forsman (Josh) of Rossville, Tenn. and Tracy Deniszczuk (Mark) of Lake St. Louis, Mo.; four grandchildren: Chelsea Forsman, Dylan Forsman, Jacob Deniszczuk and Eva Deniszczuk; and two sisters: Pansy Jenkins (Bruce) of Poplar Bluff and Dorothy Garrett (John) of Campbellsburg, Ky.

His parents, Henry and Anna Georgia Mayes McKinney and brother, Gene McKinney preceded him in death.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the Chapel with Rev. Ralph Mayes officiating. Burial will be at Hamtown Cemetery.
