Oliver W. Montgomery

Oliver Wasson Montgomery, 75, of Poplar Bluff passed away Monday, Feb. 18, 2008 at The Manor, in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Montgomery was born Dec. 12, 1932, in St. Louis. He was of the Protestant faith, and was a retired cabinet maker and school bus driver. Mr. Montgomery enjoyed spending time with his family, and working in his yard.

On Nov. 28, 1954, he married Virgie Webb, in Hernando, Miss. She survives.

Other survivors include four daughters, Jackie Loyd, of Woodstock, Vt., Sandra Montgomery, Lora Black and Kathy Montgomery, all of Poplar Bluff; a sister, Evelyn Thompson, of Haviland, Kans.; a brother, Aubrey Montgomery, of Poplar Bluff; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Service. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel. Burial will be at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
