Ollie Olline Bolen

Olline Bolen, 86, of Wappapello formerly of Morehouse died Friday, Dec. 26, 2008 at the Oakdale Care Center, in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Bolen was born May 4, 1922 in Bernie, Mo. She was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Bolen enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing, sewing, knitting and making crafts.

On Feb. 25, 1939 she married Woodrow George Bolen, in Risco, Mo. He preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 2007.

Survivors include six children: G. W. ""Woody"" Bolen, Jr., of Poplar Bluff, Linda Bolen Haley, of Burbank, Calif., Mike D. Bolen, of Sikeston, Larry Bolen, of Nixa, Jerry Bolen, of Huntsville, Ala. And Gary Bolen, of St. Charles; 26 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Vera Becker, of Sikeston and Norma Sue Hulse, of Port Angeles, Wash.

Visitation will be from 4 - 6 p.m. Monday at the Wappapello Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, in Sikeston with Bro. Jerry Adams officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, in Sikeston.
