Ollie Virginia Kenney

Ollie Virginia Kenney, 86, of Poplar Bluff died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014 at Westwood Hills Healthcare Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Kenney was born Aug. 29, 1928 in Colt, Ark. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and was a homemaker. Mrs. Kenney enjoyed children.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Teresa Wolfolk, of Detroit, Mich.; sister, Shirley Ann Brown; sister-in-law, Ann Barnes, both of Poplar; nieces, Kimberly (Reginald) Hayman, of Little Rock, Ark., Stephanie Barnes, of Memphis, Tenn., Sherra Grant, of Poplar Bluff, Phyllis Griffin, of Topeka, Kans, and Crystal Jones, of Poplar Bluff; two nephews, Kevin Grant and Ronnie Grant, both of Poplar Bluff; and a special and close friend, Jeanie Mack, also of Poplar Bluff.

Her husband, Roy Kenney, parents, Ben Wright and Annie Mae Allen and two brothers, Jimmy Van Lewis and Lewis S. Barnes preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral Service will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Robinson officiating.
Burial will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
