Oma Jean Deford

Oma Jean DeFord, 77, of Poplar Bluff died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. DeFord was born July 10, 1933 in Stoddard County, Mo. She was of the Pentecostal faith, and was a homemaker. Mrs. DeFord enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

On July 19, 1952, she married Floyd K. DeFord. He preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 2007.

Survivors include her daughter, Kelly Chitwood of Poplar Bluff; son, Wayne DeFord of Dallas, Tex.; and six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel with Pastor Russell Chitwood officiating. Burial will be at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley.
