Opal Lee Cozort

Opal Lee Cozort, 85, of Poplar Bluff died Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Westwood Hills Healthcare Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Cozort was born Oct. 21, 1924 in Island, Ky. She was of the Baptist faith, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Cozort enjoyed traveling and flower gardening.

On May 15, 1946 she married Robert James Cozort in Poplar Bluff. He preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 2001.

Survivors include her children, Carol Dollins and husband Harry of St. Charles and Ronald Cozort and wife Sherry of Poplar Bluff; 6 grandchildren: Robert Cozort, Travis Cozort, Ronald Henson, Jeff Dollins, Eric Dollins and Eddie Henson; and 5 great-grandchildren: Phoebe Dollins, Laci Cozort, Harley Morey, Michael Morey and Christopher Cozort.

Her parents, Roscoe and Pearl (Johnson) Willis and brothers, Wayne Willis and Grover Willis preceded Mrs. Cozort in death.

Visitation will be from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. A graveside service and burial with the Rev. Jim Schremp officiating will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
