Opal Genevieve Kneisley. 94, of Dickson, Tenn., formerly of Poplar Bluff died Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Dickson Health Care Center in Dickson.
Mrs. Kneisley was born April 6, 1916 in Campbell. She was a member of Collins Chapel General Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, and had retired from the Poplar Bluff Hospital. At one time Mrs. Kneisley owned and operated a laundry service in Poplar Bluff and later in Flint, Mich. as well. While living in Michigan she worked a number of years for General Motors. Mrs. Kneisley enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting, working crossword puzzles and walking.
On Jan. 9, 1939 she married Paul M. Kneisley in Angola, Ind. He preceded her in death on Dec. 22, 1992.
Survivors include her daughter, Wanda Lee Stuckey of White Bluff, Tenn.; and 3 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Her parents, Albert and Nancy (Elder) Pillow, sister, Ethel Burton and brother, Harold Pillow preceded Mrs. Kneisley in death.
Visitation will be from 6 - 7 p.m. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Chapel with the Pastor Willis Smith officiating. Burial will be at Lloyd Cemetery in Holcomb.
