Opal Marie Williams

Opal Marie Williams, 84, of Poplar Bluff, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center, in Sikeston.

Mrs. Williams was born Sept. 15, 1922, in New Madrid County, Mo. to the lateBen Wesley and Lucille Ellen (Truell) Ward. She had retired from the Coca Cola Bottling Co. Mrs. Williams enjoyed spending time with her family and flower gardening.

On May 6, 1976 she was married to Roy Williams in Poplar Bluff. He survives and still looked after her daily needs.

Survivors include a niece, Mickey Stone of Dexter and a nephew, Bill Ward, of Austin, Tex., both of whom she raised; and three brothers, Ben Wesley Ward, Jr. of Qulin, Lee Ward, of Dimmitt, Tex. and Marvin Ward, of Poplar Bluff.

Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the chapel, with Greg Faughn officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
