Patricia Ann Mcclure

March 8, 1941 — April 4, 2023

Poplar Bluff

Patricia McClure, 82, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on April 4, 2023 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Pat was born on March 8, 1941 to Raymond and Lena Eaker. She was raised by her Aunt Lottie and Uncle Junior in Qulin Missouri.

She was married to the love of her life, Smilin Claudie McClure on July 18th 1959. In 1961 they welcomed their first child, Marty, into the world. From day one his mission was to keep his mom on her toes and he accomplished this. In 1974 they decided Marty wasn’t enough and Claudia joined the family. She loved her children with everything she had in her. The only thing she loved more than being a mom, was being a gramie. She was lucky enough to be blessed with 6 grandkids. Nikki, Zach, Ashley, Emiley, Hunter and Makayla. Their memories of her are filled with Thursday night sleep overs, picking blueberries, yard sale shopping, and always feeling like they were the favorite (even though every one knows it was Zach). Those grandkids gave her the greatest blessings of her life, 8 great-grand babies. Cheston, Rylan, Evalee, Weston, Chet, Peyton, Buck and Ava Grace.

Pat is also survived by her sister, and her best friend, Peggy Hodge. From the day Pat was born, her and Peggy were side by side. Theres not enough time in the day to tell the stories they have together. If they weren’t together playing skip-bo or coaching the Cardinal’s from the couch, they were on the phone together. Pat and Peggy were the true definition of sister hood. If you walked in on a card game you could barely tell they liked each other, but it was always a kiss, a hug, and an I love you sis when the game was over.

She is also survived by one brother, Carl Eaker, many nieces and nephews who are very dear to her heart, other close friends and family members, and her 4-legged side kick Willy.

She was greeted at the pearly gates by many people she was ready to see including her sister, Mary Bond, her sister by heart, Carole Eaker, 4 brothers, Jim Eaker, Harole Eaker, Jd Hargiss and Junior Hargiss, nephew Scott, Niece Carrie, and many beloved friends including JD, Jewel, and Ladonna.

If love could have kept Pat alive, she would have lived forever. Though many tears have been shed for her, we all know she is heaven having the time of her life with so many people she shed tears for and longed to see. When you find yourself sad and missing her just remember “Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and forever dear.”
