Patricia Ann Smith

Patricia A. Smith, 75, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015 at her residence.

Ms. Smith was born June 24, 1940 in Qulin, Mo. to the late George and Lubell (Kilgore) Ford. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church and had retired after 26 years as a R.N. for Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Ms. Smith enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, fishing and working puzzles, but most of all she enjoyed her nursing career and helping people.

Survivors include her three children: Debra Duvall of Hebron, Ind., Doyle (Rose) Smith of Mascoutah Ill. and Daryl (Sara) Smith of Poplar Bluff; six grandchildren: Jennifer (Erick) Dongus, Jeremy Back, Nick (Lisa) Caldwell, Joshua (Bethany) Caldwell, Bryan Smith, Megan (Nathaniel) Smith-Bleichner; two great-grandchildren: Nina Dongus and Alexis Dongus

Ms. Smith was preceded in death by a special friend Dale Hurst in 2012, four brothers and a sister.

The visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Dr. Steve Proctor officiating. Burial will be at Brown Chapel Cemetery at Broseley, Mo.
