Paul Everett Steele

Paul Everett Steele II, 69, of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Steele was born July 10, 1942 in Poplar Bluff. He graduated from Western Military Academy, and attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Ark. Mr. Steele was of the Baptist faith, and had retired as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, hunting and boat and auto racing.

Survivors include two sons, Paul E. Steele III of Lake Charles, La. and John S. ?Sam? Steele of Anchorage, Alaska; and four grandchildren.

His parents, Paul E. and Mildred Tucker Steele, Sr. preceded Mr. Steele in death.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel with Rev. Keith Luke officiating. Interment of Mr. Steele?s ashes will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
