Pauline G. Haas

Pauline G. Haas, 88, passed away at Oakdale Residential Care Center, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on Saturday, February 3, 2018.
Mrs. Haas was born on February 11, 1929 in Delaware County, Iowa to the late Edwin and Gertrude (Richmond) Jones.

On May 5, 1948, she married Vincent Haas at St Luke’s Catholic Church in Hopkinton,Iowa. He preceded her in death on February 12, 2005. They live in Elgin and Dundee, Il for many years, later retired to Diamondhead, MS for several years and then relocated to Poplar Bluff, MO to be closer to family.

She is survived by one son, Bruce (Kathy) Haas of Poplar Bluff and grandchildren, Benjamin (Jessi Stafford) Haas of Fishkill, NY, and Lindsay Haas of Frisco, TX. She is also survived by two sisters, Betty Hoffman, Marion, IA and Kathryn (Roland) Chooljian, Chandler AZ and one brother, John (Donna) Jones, Anamosa, IA.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Paula Haas and four brothers, Donald Jones, Robert Jones, Russell Jones, and Richard Jones.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Poplar Bluff, MO. During her career she worked in retail sales and in real estate. After retiring, she enjoyed volunteering, working for several years at the hospital gift shop. She loved to play golf, won several championships and had multiple hole in ones. She always enjoyed gardening, decorating her home, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion, IA on February 19, 2018 at 10:30 am.
