Pearl M. Edwards, 85, of Poplar Bluff died Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at Mark Twain Caring Center, in Poplar Bluff.
Mrs. Edwards was born Nov. 5, 1923 in Flatwoods, Mo. She was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, and was a homemaker.
On May 18, 1941 she married Noal James Edwards in Datto, Ark. He preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 1995.
Survivors include her son, Larry Edwards, Sr. and his wife Carolyn, of Corning, Ark.; daughter-in-law, Faye Edwards, of Pocahontas, Ark.; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and sister, Lillian Robinson, of Houston, Tex.
Her parents, Elias and Alma (Jarrett) Mitchell, son, Garry Edwards and sisters, Elsie McCormick and Renabel Richards preceded Mrs. Edwards in death.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the Chapel with the Rev. Larry Edwards, Jr. officiating and the Rev. Marvin Richards and the Rev. Richard McCormick assisting. Burial will be at Black Creek Cemetery in Butler County.
